Conversely, neurodivergent students have average and above average intelligence and neurodivergent employees have been shown to be more efficient than their neurotypical cohorts, especially when focused on their particular area of interest.

The problem with the statistics

The problem with these statistics is that there is a lack of understanding in instruction and management from general education of what the teacher – student relationship looks like with a neurodiverse classroom.

It is clear that education needs support through a neurodiverse lens.

In fact, most teachers have never been trained to manage with these strategies and struggle with behavior, which is a top teacher request for professional development.

Learning to Manage Students with best practices that will also reach your Neurodivergent Students

The focus is not to view students as neurotypical or neurodivergent. The focus is to be aware that your class is neurodiverse as a whole and your management skill toolbox needs to include the strategies that will successfully reach your neurodivergent students which will therefore mean that you reach ALL students. The Positron Matrix Way will support educators to incorporate these missing strategies that will successfully create an environment of belonging for each and every student.

You don’t have to feel lost while parenting your neurodivergent child.

Raising children is fulfilling, magical, exhausting, emotional, challenging and SO much more.
